Fadel Shaker, a renowned Lebanese singer, has been a household name in the Arab music scene for decades. His life story is about to be told in a new documentary series, “Ya Ghayeb” (The Absent One), which is set to premiere on April 20th on the digital platform, Shahid.

A Glimpse into Fadel Shaker’s Life

The documentary, which takes its title from one of Shaker’s most popular songs, will delve into the singer’s life since childhood, his professional career, and his successes and failures. The film will feature appearances by several notable actors, including Jordanian actor, Imad Al-Mashtoub, and Lebanese actor, Talal Al-Jardali.

Fadel Shaker’s Early Life and Career

Fadel Shaker, a Lebanese singer, began his music career at the age of 15, performing at small concerts and weddings. He sang original Arabic songs by renowned artists such as Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Fayed Al-Attar.

Breakthrough and Success

In 1998, Shaker signed a 10-year contract with Khayoul Production Company and met Egyptian composer, Salah Sharnoubi, who helped him produce his debut album, “Wallah Zaman” (God’s Time), which featured 8 songs. The following year, he released his second album, “Baya’ Al-Qulub” (Seller of Hearts), which topped the charts with its hit song, “Baya’ Al-Qulub.” The album’s success led to the production of a music video for the song, which was also a huge hit.

Continued Success

In 2000, Shaker released his third album, “Al-Hob Al-Qadeem” (The Old Love), which was also a huge success. The same year, he released a new album, “Sahra’ Tarab” (A Night of Music), with a different production company, Master Melody.
