Rawan’s Controversial Video
Rawan sparked outrage by posting a video on social media, accusing the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry of failing to assist her release from the UAE. She claimed she was unjustly detained, stirring widespread debate.
Dubai Prosecution Reveals the Truth
The Dubai Public Prosecution issued a statement detailing the investigation. Rawan was arrested while intoxicated in a public place, causing a disturbance, assaulting Dubai Police officers, and hurling profanities at them during their duties.
Dubai Criminal Court Verdict
The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced Rawan Bin Hussein to six months in jail and fined her 20,000 AED. The court also ordered her deportation from the UAE, referring the civil case to the competent civil court.
Rawan’s Arrest in Dubai
Days before the ruling, Rawan was detained in Dubai for public intoxication and disruptive behavior, including attacking police officers, which set the stage for her legal consequences.
