Hamada Helal Defends Al-Maddah Legacy
Egyptian actor Hamada Helal addressed actress Lucy’s claims of “strange occurrences” on the set of Al-Maddah during an interview on Tafa’alkom. He firmly denied any superstitions, asserting that the series carries the blessings of the Quran, leaving no room for talismans or myths.
“Lucy Is My Sister,” No Bad Blood
Hamada brushed off any tension with Lucy, calling her his “sister” from their collaboration in Season 3. “I’m not upset with Lucy’s comments. I recommended her for the role, and though I didn’t expect her to say that, it’s fine. She’s kind and talented, and we succeeded together,” he said.
Quran’s Blessings Debunk Rumors
Rejecting rumors of mystical elements, Hamada stressed that Al-Maddah draws from real-life-inspired legends, not harmful superstitions. “The team knows what it’s doing. There are no talismans—it’d be a huge mistake if there were. I’ve researched this, and real talismans would harm the actors first,” he explained.
Ghada Adel’s Star Power Returns
Hamada expressed excitement about reuniting with Ghada Adel in Season 5. “Ghada lights up any set. She’s a major star and my sister. It’s thrilling to work together again after all these years,” he shared.
Al-Maddah 6: Production’s Call
On a potential sixth season, Hamada said, “I’d love to do it, but it depends on the production’s enthusiasm, a strong script, and a fresh idea. A movie version could happen too.”
Ramadan’s Iconic Series
Hamada hailed Al-Maddah as a Ramadan “icon,” likening its tales to One Thousand and One Nights. “It’s a unique brand with no rival. I’d love more seasons, but I trust Sabbah Company and MBC’s vision,” he concluded.
