Amina Khalil Shares Toughest Lam Shamsia Scene
Egyptian actress Amina Khalil, star of Lam Shamsia, revealed that her role in the series is the most challenging of her career. “This is the hardest role I’ve ever played. I was stunned by the reactions after Episode 1,” she said.
The Scene That Moved Amina to Tears
In an interview with ET bil Araby, Amina shared that she cried after watching the final scene of Episode 6. “It was so emotional, especially with the buildings scene that followed—it showed every home and window holds stories of people facing similar struggles,” she explained.
“Sparrow Flew from the Window” Song Choice
Amina disclosed that singing “Sparrow Flew from the Window” by Ayda El Ayoubi in the scene was her idea. “My mom sang it to me as a child to ease my fears, and I adore Ayda,” she said. Originally, a different song was planned, but Amina convinced director Karim El Shenawy to use this one. “It put me in the exact emotional state you see on screen,” she added, noting his approval shaped the scene’s impact.
