The Moroccan artistic community warmly welcomed the news of singer Dounia Batma’s release from prison, with several stars expressing their joy at her return to the artistic scene.

Among those celebrating was artist Fahd Mouftakhir, who said, “Finally, my dear sister is free, thank God for your safety, we missed you a lot.” Media personality Fahd Al-Hashimi also praised Batma’s status in Moroccan art, noting that the scene hadn’t seen significant changes during her absence and wishing her a stronger comeback.

 

Singer Saâd Hassani expressed her substantial support for Batma, lauding her artistic talent and acknowledging the impact her absence had on the Moroccan music scene. She urged that Batma not be wronged, emphasizing that her place in art is irreplaceable.

 

Fellow artist Farah Fassi voiced her longing to see Dounia Batma again, wishing her well and hoping for a beautiful compensation for the ordeal she had endured.

 

A Heartfelt Public Reception

The joy of Batma’s return wasn’t limited to artists alone; her fans also played a significant role. Many came from Casablanca specifically to greet her upon her release from Oudaya Prison in Marrakech, expressing their deep affection and love for her.
Despite her discreet exit, away from photographers’ lenses, the celebratory atmosphere was palpable both in the artistic circles and among her fans, who eagerly await her return to singing and resuming her artistic journey.
